ALL ABOUT YOUR SKIN

  • The New Normal: Skin is still in!
We’ve rounded up some great tips on caring for your skin in the new normal. PPE suit up, masks on! Wash your face with lukewarm water. Keep your skin’s natural moisture in check by washing it with water that’s not too cold, and not too hot. Stick with lukewarm water for cleansing. Skip the strong products, go with gentle ones. Cleansers that leave your skin feeling tight and squeaky clean doesn’t always mean well. In fact, it can possibly irritate! Look out for harsh ingredients, and skip rough scrubbing. Go for mild and gentle cleansing and exfoliation. Everyday protection. Prolonged wearing of PPEs like face masks and face shields may cause sores, spots, and painful indentions on the skin. Cushion high-pressure areas (nose bridge, cheekbones, ears) with hydrocolloid patches or dressing. When it is safe to do so, remove these every couple of minutes to relieve pressure. Stick to the basics. Cleanse, tone, moisturize, and don’t ever forget to put on sunblock. Skip the make-up for now and let your skin breathe.
